LaMunt’s unique recycled insulation padding

ReMOCA Pad® is LaMunt’s unique in-house synthetic insulation padding made from recycled skiing skins. With outstanding technical performance and high thermal capacity, this lightweight insulation material is made from the manufacturing offcuts of POMOCA ski touring skins combined with post-consumer recycled polyester fibers for added durability and suppleness.This system represents a first step towards full circularity and is made entirely in Italy, using the waste from our own Oberalp Group.

How is ReMOCA Pad® produced?

1. Reclaiming

Production waste deriving from the manufacturing of POMOCA ski touring skins is collected to give it a new life.

2. Processing

Using a single-step mechanical process without the usage of any chemicals, the fibres are garnetted, opened out and recovered.

3. Blending

The fibres are blended with recycled post-consumer polyester for added durability and suppleness, to create our final padding.

4. Products

ReMOCA Pad® is now ready to be used to fill our LaMunt products, such as the Irmi reversible insulated jacket.
