LaMunt recycled cashmere fill

NATURAL PERFORMANCE

LaMunt recycled cashmere fill

Reducing our environmental impact

Redefining Waste

We are the first outdoor brand to use post-industrial recycled cashmere as a sustainable insulation fill for our mountain-ready coats and jackets. Cashmere’s thermoregulating properties are second-to-none and, when recycled, its environmental footprint is much smaller than conventional fill materials. This allows us to combine functional performance with our deep-rooted belief in making products that are sustainable, natural and durable.

How our Recycled Cashmere is made

1. Reclaiming

Offcuts from the manufacture of cashmere products is reclaimed and sorted here in Italy. Repurposing these natural fibres helps create a more circular economy.

2. Processing

Using a mechanical process, the offcuts are separated into fine fibres, with the same properties as the raw resource.

3. Blending

The fibres are then blended with recycled polyester to produce high-performance, breathable insulation padding.

4. Products

LaMunt uses this recycled fill material to insulate jackets such as the Samuela Warm Cashmere Jacket, for naturally superior warmth with a lower environmental impact.
